Jocko, the respect and emotion on display in your reading of “We were soldiers...” say as much about who you are as anything else you do. I am proud to know you are out there.     Just my opinion.. I believe young people should listen to this. This story (and other accounts of warfare) could help people understand the service & sacrifice that is made by their countrymen* to preserve our freedom. At least so they can know what it takes, who It takes, & what is taken.
    All Americans should know this. Whether they agree (with warfare) or not.
    This is history.
    This happened.
    It should be a requirement for young people in school(s), &
    EVERY American should have opportunity to listen. It needs to be requirement for freedom.
